ROUTE FROM CARDIFF

From Cardiff Castle

With Cardiff Castle on your right take the A4161 called Cowbridge Road East westward. This is a long road through a heavily built up area with many shops and lots of traffic lights etc.

Eventually the A4161 turns into A48 which crosses the A4232 at  Culverhouse Cross…….

From Cardiff Bay

Take the A4232 to Penarth /M4 follow signs to M4. Good

dual-carriage way all the way out to Culverhouse Cross.

  Exit left off  A4232 to A48

Signposted: A48 Culverhouse Cross and Cowbridge…..

Common to both routes

……At next roundabout go straight over onto the A48,

up hill, signposted: A48 Cowbridge / St Nicholas/ Dyffryn.

Drive through St Nicholas and Bonvilston

Exit left off A48 onto A4222

Signposted: Cowbridge / Llantrisant

At traffic lights, straight over

Signposted: Llantwit Major

Drive through Cowbridge High Street

At the far end of the High Street turn left up the hill on

Llantwit Major road

Signposted: Llantwit Major

(Please note that if you reach the large concrete bridge

you have gone too far this will take you back onto the A48)

Turn right opposite The Cross Inn signposted Crossways House.

Drive down the lane 600yds until you see large 3 story manor house on left.

Turn left into large wrought iron gates marked “Crossways House “

Follow signs around house to the left to the courtyard at rear and front door.

                    Why not take this opportunity and visit the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan
